The candidate should have a good understanding of physiologically based pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic models. Ideally, these experiences should be in areas related to pharmacokinetics, biodistribution, and pharmacodynamics of therapeutic proteins or other modalities. This position is located in Sheffield, UK or remote from home. Evidence to show critical thinking and the ability to carry out research independently is desirable. The post holder is expected to provide on-going customer support and, after training, contribute to education and training activities, and client interactions specifically related to the therapeutic protein modules, and to act as a tutor on workshops. The successful candidate will join an internationally recognised, multidisciplinary research team, providing opportunities for further development of knowledge and skills. The post does not include laboratory or clinical work. Essential Requirements : . PhD or equivalent experience in pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacology, control or chemical engineering or related fields with few years of practical experience; . In depth understanding of processes affecting therapeutic proteins or other modalities disposition and experience in developing biological and/or physiological PK/PD models; . Publications in high impact factor journals; . Good working knowledge of common or specialised modelling and simulation languages e.g. Matlab, R, etc; . Demonstrable communication skills, as evidenced by presentations at scientific meetings and publications in scientific journals, and good interpersonal and organizational skills Desirable . Knowledge of in vitro in vivo extrapolation (IVIVE) techniques . Experience in modelling of monoclonal antibodies and/or smaller proteins .
