Dear all, the division of clinical pharmacology at the University of Cape Town is looking for a bright and motivated candidate to join our pharmacometric modelling team. We are looking to appoint Research Officer at Lecturer level to lead modelling and simulation research and training activities in pharmacometrics. The position is initially for 1 year, but renewable depending on funding and satisfactory progress. Requirements include: • A PhD in a discipline relevant to pharmacometrics • At least 1 year post-PhD experience in pharmacometric modelling and simulation • Demonstration of strong research capability • Appropriate computer systems and software knowledge (considerable experience in NONMEM is essential) Responsibilities include: • Mentorship and training of postgraduate students • Development and conduct of modelling and simulation research projects The following will be advantageous: • Demonstration of leadership, training, and mentoring capability • Experience of Pharmacokinetic-Pharmacodynamic analysis in infectious diseases.
