If you really need to better understand the theory and methods of population PK
modeling using NONMEM, if you want to understand how to interpret NONMEM
output, including error messages, and better discriminate between models, or if
you just seek to secure the foundational knowledge to read and review reports
of population modeling, please plan to join us at Johannes Gutenberg University
in Mainz, Germany September 23-25, 2019 for our 3-day workshop. Registration is
now open.
This workshop has been designed to provide the necessary information to
successfully implement population PK methodology in a drug development program
and to provide the foundation for understanding the basics of NONMEM coding and
interpretation of NONMEM output. The material is structured to impart both the
theoretical and practical aspects of the population approach and is versatile
so that participants with diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise may
benefit.
To ease the learning curve and ensure that participants are up and running with
NONMEM very quickly, the [ http://simulations-plus.com/kiwi | KIWI™
Pharmacometric Communication Platform ] will be used in conjunction with
NONMEM. KIWI is a useful cloud-based pharmacometric communication platform that
facilitates code writing, finding errors, comparing output from different
models, and generating point-and-click model diagnostics.

The workshop will be taught by Jill Fiedler-Kelly, Aksana Jones, and Stefan
Roepcke of Cognigen Corporation. Jill is also an Adjunct Professor at the
University at Buffalo and co-author of “Introduction to Population
Pharmacokinetic/Pharmacodynamic Analysis with Nonlinear Mixed Effects Models”
(John Wiley & Sons Inc., 2014) with Joel Owen.
