The NJ/PA/NYISoP Local Chapter Event Please join us on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at the Bridgewater Manor inBridgewater NJ for an evening of networking and learning. The evening will feature a lecture by Marc Gastonguay, Ph.D., Co-Founder & CEOat Metrum Research Group LLC. Title of his talk: "High Performance Computing andInteractive Real-Time Simulation for Decision Making in Drug Development andTherapeutics". Abstract: Planning and execution ofquantitative support for drug development decision making is a challengingendeavor requiring collaboration and clear communication across multipledisciplines. In order to be effective and informative, modeling and simulationbased guidance should be derived from the combined efforts of technical M&Sscientists, clinical pharmacologists, statisticians, clinical domain experts,development team decision-makers, and others as needed to address specificquestions. Traditional process-flows for M&S guided decision making havegenerally been linear, static, iterative, and led by a single individual. A newdynamic process flow, combining high performance computing, efficientsimulation technology, interactive tools, and team-based agile projectmanagement and execution will be proposed. The lecture and discussion will be followed by dinner.
