As an Intern, you will be assigned to your own pharmacometrics project and work under the supervision of an experienced pharmacometrician. The project scope includes but is not limited to performing hands-on pharmacometrics analysis in NONMEM and R based on pre-clinical and clinical pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic data and collaborating with other stakeholders in drug development. Ideally, the project results in a poster presentation or publication. Duties & Responsibilities: * Develop and qualify PK, PKPD and/or disease progression models including data set preparation and post-processing of software output * Perform literature research to support model development and qualification * Present project results and conclusions to Global Pharmacometrics Group and other stakeholders * Summarize project results and conclusions in internal report and/or external poster/publication Requirements: * Must be an Undergraduate, Graduate, or Professional Student in good academic standing. * Must have completed 12 credit hours within a related major and/or other related coursework. * Overall, cumulative GPA (from last completed quarter) must be at least 3.200 (on 4.0 scale) or better (No rounding up). * Major must be related to the field of internship. Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities: * Hands-on experience in pharmacometrics software packages (e.g., NONMEM, R) * Basic knowledge in non-linear mixed effect modelling and biostatistics * Basic knowledge in clinical pharmacology and model informed drug discovery and development Eligibility Requirements: * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction. * Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including verification of your past employment, criminal history, and educational background * Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required) * Must be 18 years of age or older Our Culture: Boehringer Ingelheim is one of the world's top 20 pharmaceutical companies and operates globally with approximately 50,000 employees.
