Please post for the NONMEM users group: UC San Diego / Pfizer Post-doctoralResearch Fellowship in Clinical Pharmacology-Oncology, July 2018- June 2020 The Universityof California San Diego and Pfizer Global Research andDevelopment La Jolla are pleased to offer a two year post-doctoral fellowship in clinical oncology. Fellows will work on clinical pharmacology projects at Pfizer and UC San Diego. During thefellowship, the trainee will develop general clinical research skills, a comprehensiveunderstanding of cancer biology, knowledge of biomarkers and common targets for cancertherapeutics, and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic/disease modeling andsimulation experience with a focus on integrating these disciplines towardsdeveloping new cancer therapies. They will learn protocol development, construction, validation and utilization of disease, drug exposure response, and pharmacokinetic modeling to facilitate drug development. Specifically, fellows will learn to use Phoenix for non-compartmental pharmacokinetic analysis, NONMEM for population PK/PD modeling, and R for data integration, statistical analysis and exploration of PK/PD analyses. Training will also include formal coursework in biostatistics with clinical pharmacology seminars at both UCSD and Pfizer. Fellows will receive direct clinical oncology experience at the UCSD Moores Cancer Center including rotations in the phase 1 clinic and investigational drugs service. Requirements: The fellowmust be a graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with a PharmD,PharmD/PhD degree or equivalent and be licensed or eligible for licensure as apharmacist in California. Salary and Benefits: The annual stipend iscompetitive with NIH fellowships. Benefits include medical and dentalinsurance. In addition, vacation, sick and professional leave are provided.
