Associate Director, Clinical pharmacology--Maryland/DC area

Excellent opportunity with a growing company! My client has an exciting role for an Associate Director, Clinical Pharmacology. The responsibilities of the Associate Director include the design, implementation and execution of clinical pharmacology protocols, internal strategy and planning, final reports and contribution to peer-reviewed publications . You will lead the study design and PK/PD data analysis / reporting as well as M&S activities . Will further partner with the nonclinical group to determine biomarker strategy, FIM doses, IVIVC plans, and will also include pharmacogenomics plans. Will author relevant sections of submissions such as IND's and NDA's, interact with academic and industry partners (such as CRO's) and represent clinical pharmacology on project teams. This role covers translational, phase I-IV, and post marketing activities within clinical pharmacology. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in pharmacology/pharmacokinetics and the drug development process. Will have strong scientific and communication skills. Ideally a PhD in a relevant field and 6+ years of experience. Experience in WinNonLin and NONMEM is also desired.
