MS-MPI with Nonmem: experiences?

From: Ruben Faelens Date: March 16, 2016 technical Source: mail-archive.com
Dear group, The MPI library of choice for Nonmem has been MPICH2 for quite some time now. Since the last release of MPICH2 on April 2013, the package has been unsupported on Windows. The developers of MPICH2 actually recommend migrating to MS-MPI. By adding the required libraries to the compiler command in NMFE, NONMEM runs nicely using MS-MPI. Performance benchmarks show no difference between MS-MPI and MPICH2. Only one minor nuisance remains: there is a windows firewall popup for every nonmem.exe executable. Did anybody else try this ? Did your mileage vary?
