My name is Ian Kulka and I am a specialist recruiter within the field of Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacometrics, within Drug Discovery and Translational Medicine. I am currently working with an innovative, expanding drug discovery company based in the UK, who has a vacancy for a Associate Director Pharmacokineticist within their Clinical department. Working with a range of successful therapy areas, this company is currently going through an exciting stage of growth.
Job Summary:
As Associate Director Clinical Pharmacokineticist you will;
* Represent the Clinical Pharmacology and DMPK for activities, as sole point of contact, within projects at all stages of discovery and development.
* Be responsible for providing the Clinical Pharmacology expertise in the CDP - including the design and interpretation of the Clinical Pharmacology / PKPD studies along with regulatory strategy.
* Contribute to overall team strategy using your modelling expertise.
* Collaborate with multifunctional teams on appropriate design of clinical studies, alongside nonclinical safety studies.
* Perform PK/PD modelling and simulation within the ongoing projects, along with providing training for other CPD staff, as required.
The ideal candidate for this position needs to be educated to PhD level in a relevant scientific subject. Alongside this educational background, 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a pre-clinical and /or clinical development department is also required. Successful candidates must have good knowledge of pharmacokinetics, pharmacology and physiology and a solid background in using modelling software (NonMem, WinNonLin or MATLAB). Experience of bioanalytical expertise, particularly in biologics would be considered highly desirable. The ideal candidate will also possess fluent English; written and spoken language skills.
