*Job Description* The division of clinical pharmacy at Saarland University is offering a Postdoctoral or two PhD positions in diabetic research. The aim of the research project is to contribute to the understanding of T2DM disease progression and therapeutic response. The project will be in collaboration with a global acting, research oriented pharmaceutical company as well as with a large international consortium (academia and industry) with recognized leaders in the field of diabetes. The candidate(s) will have access to large clinical, medical and genetic databases and will be responsible for the development of longitudinal disease progression models including therapeutic response and covariate analysis. * Job Qualifications* Preferred qualifications for the PhD positions are a master degree (or equivalent) in pharmaceutical sciences, medicine, biology, physiology or quantitative sciences including engineering, statistics, bioinformatics, mathematics and systems biology as well as knowledge of, or experience in, diabetes research. A background in basic pharmacology, genetics, pharmacometrics and/or systems pharmacology is considered beneficial. The ideal candidate(s) must be self-directed and self-motivated and should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, good organizational abilities and team spirit. Preferred qualifications for the Postdoctoral position are equivalent to the requirementsfor the PhD candidates. In addition, a doctoral (PhD or equivalent) degree in the above mentioned fields and hands-on knowledge in software platforms such as NONMEM, MATLAB, R, SAS, SQL, PK-Sim or other software is mandatory.
