1:00 to 2:00 pm EDT
Abstract: CNS Quantitative Systems Pharmacology uses computer-based mechanistic
modeling to integrate the biophysically realistic neurophysiology of brain
networks, functional imaging of genetics, the pharmacology of drug-receptor
interactions, human imaging on the pathological changes in disease, and
parametrization with historical clinical data. A computer model for an
individual patient ('a human avatar') can be developed, allowing one to address
value proposition issues, ranging from target validation over a clinical
candidate selection to support in early clinical development. We will show
examples of key R&D support in Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and
schizophrenia.
