ACoP5 workshop on Modeling Delays in Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics
A one day ACoP5 workshop on Modeling Delays in Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics will be presented by Wojciech Krzyzanski and Gilbert Koch (both University at Buffalo), Sameer Doshi (Amgen Inc.), Johannes Schropp (University of Konstanz), Jérome Kalifa (Lixoft Inc.) and Serge Guzy (PopPharm Inc.) on Sunday 12th of October 2014 in Las Vegas, NV. The course will provide an overview of biological systems exhibiting delays, concepts of lifespan driven pharmacodynamic response, modeling of cell maturation, and nonlinear mixed effect lifespan models. Delay differential equations (DDEs) will be introduced and implemented in PK/PD software such as NONMEM, Monolix, Phoenix, and Berkeley Madonna. The course will consist of both lectures and hands-on computer exercises. Source codes for DDE based PK/PD models will be provided to the participants. Contact [email protected] for more information.
