Simcyp Satellite Workshops prior to the PAGE meeting on 10th June, Alicante.
Simcyp is pleased to confirm that registration is now open for the following
two workshops, which will be held prior to the PAGE meeting on 10th June at the
Melia Hotel, Alicante.
1) Parameter Estimation and Pharmacodynamics
A systems pharmacology approach to modelling and simulation: Accelerating model
building and covariate recognition in drug development by combining top-down
and bottom-up modelling of pharmacokinetics linked to drug response
Simcyp features such as user defined PD models and its powerful fitting tools
for clinically observed data using complex PBPK models are less commonly known
outside DMPK circles. These capabilities are available for both small and
larger molecules and the features are continuously expanding. This one-day
hands-on workshop on pharmacometrics will bridge mechanistic covariate
recognition, complex model fitting and rational design of studies.
2) Paediatrics
Predicting the age-related changes to pharmacokinetics and drug-drug
interactions including associated variability: Linking this knowledge to drug
response in the paediatric population
The Simcyp Simulator is used by many groups for the purpose of simulating the
fate of drugs in special populations. In this one-day hands-on workshop on
Simcyp’s paediatric related features, predicting the age-related changes to
pharmacokinetics and drug-drug interactions will be discussed in depth,
including associated variability and linking this information to drug response
in the paediatric population. Further, the impact of time-varying physiology on
drugs PK in children and pregnant women is presented based on several recent
publications.
Registration Details
The cost of each workshop is £75 for Simcyp Consortium members and Academics*
and £150 for non-members. Attendance at the PAGE Meeting is not a requirement
to register for the Simcyp workshops. For further information and registration
