Are you a statistician or pharmacometrician ready for some relief from the repeated cold snaps? Are you ready to hear some current California weather average statistics? The endless summer is well under way in San Luis Obispo – our local committee cannot recall a day in the last several months when the daytime temperature has dipped below 60 degrees, and most days have been warmer than 70! While we of course cannot promise summer weather during the PaSiPHIC meeting, there is a reasonable likelihood for great temperatures. Our other hope is for relief from our now years long drought - so far this year, SLO had 0.95" precipitation, which is less than 5% of the annual average for this time of the year (7/1/13 - 6/30/14). Of course, another reason for visiting is to participate in this year’s PaSiPhIC program – we just released the draft schedule; check out the latest speaker and session list at http://pasiphic.calpoly.edu/program.html.
