Postdoctoral fellowship at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
The Children Hospital
of Philadelphia is offering a postdoctoral fellowship position in clinical
pharmacology and pharmacometrics. This fellowship is focused on the
application of pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic/pharmacogenetic/disease
modeling and simulation to facilitate the drug development in industry and
improve patient care in academic setting. Fellow has the opportunity to
gain a breadth of experience including: population pharmacokinetic and
mechanistic modeling of the biotechnology drugs (therapeutic monoclonal
antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates and others); disease modeling to study the
combination effects of several approved drugs in cancer patients, population
pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic/pharmacogenetic modeling of
buprenorphine/midazolam/morphine
in pediatric patients from NIH-funded studies. The fellow is also has an
option to involve in other projects such as the development/evaluation of
the advanced numerical and computation methods for population data analysis,
and pharmacogenetic study to assess the effect of FcRn expression on the
antibody disposition in adult and pediatric population.
An
ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree (PhD, PharmD) in pharmaceutical
science, biology, engineering, pharmacy or other related field and have
experience or familiarity with mathematical modeling, such as NONMEM, MATLAB,
