Dear all, Postdoctoral Research Assistant position available at the University of Oxford. Postdoctoral Research Assistant: modelling within-host dynamics of Gram-negative bacteria. Salary: Grade 7: £29,249 to £33,884 This is a fixed-term post available for 2.5 years at Oxford University to work on the development and analysis of dynamic mechanistic within-host mathematical models of the ecological interactions of multi-drug resistant Gram-negative bacteria (MDR-GNB) and associated mobile genetic elements in the human gastro-intestinal tract. The postholder will make use of detailed longitudinal data generated by members of an international consortium (R-GNOSIS) working to develop strategies to combat the spread of MDR-GNB. The work will be carried out within a team led by Dr Ben Cooper (Nuffield Department of Clinical Medicine and Mahidol Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit, Bangkok), Dr Craig MacLean (Department of Zoology) and Professor Angela McLean (Department of Zoology). Some travel to work in Thailand will also be expected.
