Modeling enterohepatic recycling of a drug
Dear all,
Would anyone know a suitable way of modeling enterohepatic recycling (EHR) of a
drug using Nonmem 7?
So far, I've tried to dose an additional amount of drug in a separate
compartment from the depot compartment (CMT==1) and introduced a lag time
(ALAG) to account for the 2nd peak concentration due to EHR. I used ADVAN5
(general linear model) and ADVAN6 (ODEs) but both routines led to
non-reasonable parameter estimates or to non-successful runs.
