PRED EXIT in first ITERATION causes METHOD=COND to crash not ITS

Hello, can someone help me in how to run a rather complex PD model using CONDitional estimation. The model produces errors during ETA search which are very cumbersome to fetch, thus these errors are likely to persist. Since COND does not have a problem with EXIT codes once the first (two?) evaluation steps have been performed, I was wondering whether somebody knows some kind of work-around for this. E.g.
