Job Description
REQUIREMENTS:
. A Ph.D./Pharm.D. degree or have well demonstrated
expertise/experiences in modeling and simulation/pharmacometrics or a
related field.
. Hands-on experiences with NONMEM and other modeling and simulation
software, e.g. WinNonlin, Trial Simulator, SAS, S-Plus/R, Monolix, Matlab,
etc.
. A minimum of two years' experience in pharmaceutical industry, CRO
or academia with a good understanding of the drug development process, and
model-based drug development concept.
. Ability to present complex model information effectively and
coherently to scientists of diverse background.
. A self-motivated, results driven person with good organization
skills who can operate independently under broad direction.
. Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically
and implement innovative ideas.
. Excellent oral and written communication skills, and interpersonal
skill with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
. Expected to interact globally with other Clinical pharmacokinetic
and pharmacodynamic scientists, follow the harmonized processes, attend
training sessions routinely, and to travel about 10-15% of the time.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
. You are responsible for providing expert input into clinical
development plans, individual study designs, data analyses and data
interpretation of company's development programs. You will be focused on one
or two therapeutic areas to develop or expand (semi-mechanistic) disease
models in this field. Working closely with Project Pharmacokineticists on
the team and will join and work with the multi-disciplinary development
teams as appropriate.
. Together with the Clinical Project Pharmacokineticist, you are
responsible for the strategic planning of the modeling and simulation
activities. You will focus mainly on the hands-on technical work in the
analysis and interpretation of the data of clinical pharmacokinetic and
pharmacodynamic studies, outcome studies etc. and performing clinical trial
simulations to answer important development questions. The resultant
deliverables will conform to appropriate internal and external (regulatory)
guidelines such that rational development and registration of drug
candidates can be rapidly achieved worldwide.

. Furthermore, the Modeling & Simulation Scientist will be
responsible for evaluation and implementation of new analytical tools that
will support in-silico drug development and will work in global teams to
maintain and improve the pharmacometric infrastructure.
