Clinical Pharmacology & DMPK (CPD) is a global department within the Clinical Development function in R&D. It covers expertise in modelling and simulation (pharmacometrics), clinical pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, drug metabolism, bioanalysis and biomarkers. CPD is involved in project work from compound selection through to life cycle management. CPD is now expanding its model based drug development capability and is looking for pharmacometricians to join our global organisation. The pharmacometrician (PM) is responsible for ensuring model based drug development (MBDD) is appropriately applied in projects and will drive or co-drive the modelling and simulation (M&S) activities. You will influence both the strategy and content of our drug development plans. Acting as an internal source of expertise, you will be responsible for population PK and PK/PD modelling, exposure response and disease modelling, as well as other modelling & simulation analyses throughout the drug development process. Ideally educated to PhD standard, you'll have a strong track record in the field already with good knowledge of the appropriate tools (eg.NONMEM, R, S-Plus, Xpose, SAS). You'll certainly know how to apply pharmacometric methodologies with real success in a drug discovery or development environment.
