Open Position - Pharmacometrician/Pharmacokineticist

Clinical Pharmacology & DMPK (CPD) is a global function within Clinical
Development and we are involved in project work from CD selection through life
cycle management of AZ compounds. The PK/PD Clin Pharm sections, within CPD,
consist of scientists with a varied academic background, pharmacokineticists,
pharmacometricians as well as medical and pharmacological competence.
The pharmacometrician is an important role involved in the different phases of
the product development and we are now looking for a new pharmacometrician to
join CPD in a permanent position.
The Role
You will be responsible for population PK and PK/PD modeling, exposure response
and disease modeling, as well as other modeling and simulation components
throughout the drug development process. In addition, you will also have the
overriding pharmacokinetic responsibility for the clinical studies.
In your role you will be a member of the global AZ Pharmacometrics skill group.
The position is a regional position in Sweden and the jobholder can take up the
position at any of the three Swedish research sites: Lund, Mölndal, or
Södertälje.
We encourage the preparation of scientific presentations and/or publications
and there will be opportunities for personal and knowledge based development
through attendance at in-house or external courses/meetings.
Requirements
* University degree in natural science. A Ph.D. or post-graduate
qualification in the PK/PD area, or similar
* Hands-on experience with PK/PD modelling, population approaches
as well as the use of modeling and simulation techniques to support decision
making
* Previous experience from working within the pharmaceutical
industry is a merit
* The applicant should have a good working knowledge in spoken
and written English
