Dear all, Hereby I send you an add about a position for a PK/PD modeller in Leiden: Pharmacokinetic-Pharmacodynamic modeller/Statistician CHDR (Centre for Human Drug Research) is a clinical pharmacology institute in Leiden, the Netherlands. The research is primarily focussed on testing the effects of innovative medicines on humans and the development of biomarkers in early phases of development. CHDR is also a major training site for clinical pharmacologists, many of whom work on a PhD-thesis during their training. In addition CHDR is actively involved in the training of medical and biomedical students at Leiden University. A custom built clinical research unit is available and a plan for the next two years that will result in relocation to a new 7000m2 custom built unit. CHDR is looking for a PK-PD modeller and statistician. The emphasis of the position is on PK and PK-PD modelling but an interest in biomedical statistics and statistical analysis is an advantage. We are looking for a person who can independently perform modelling studies of varying complexity using standard software packages. Modelling will be primarily on data obtained at CHDR. These data will increasingly require integration with preclinical information, and the use of systems biology and physiological modelling techniques. The results of these analyses will not only be used for study reports, but also for articles and theses. Additionally, together with the statistician, the applicant will be concerned with the statistical analyses of pharmacodynamic data obtained at CHDR, along with giving advice and statistical support in all stages of the research. Analyses are performed using SAS software. Prior statistical experience is not essential and on-site training facilities are available. The modeller/statistician must have an academic background in medicine, biology, pharmacology or a related field. Both full and part-time positions are possible. The salary is dependent upon background and experience. CHDR and Leiden University have an increasingly international work force and English is used throughout CHDR, employing many international students and professionals. Your application with CV can be sent to the Personnel Department at CHDR (attn Margreet ten Kate: [EMAIL PROTECTED]). If you require further information please call (+31 71 5246400), e-mail ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) or check our web-site (www.chdr.nl).
