We are very pleased to announce the release 2.3 of MONOLIX. MONOLIX 2.3 can be downloaded from the MONOLIX website: http://software.monolix.org Best regards, Marc Lavielle and France Mentré __________________________________________________ New features proposed in the release 2.3 of MONOLIX: 1) The Michaelis-Menten of the PK library are MEX-files (the C++ ODE solver we use is much faster than the MATLAB one) , 2) New window to check and modify the initial values of the fixed-effects, 3) The individual parameters (conditional modes, conditional expectations and conditional standard deviations) are estimated separately of the population parameters with MCMC. 4) A fourth transition kernel is used in the MCMC algorithm (random permutation over the subjects), 5) Some improvements for creating a stuctural model based on several differential equations, 6) For model assessment purpose, the NPDE (Normalized Prediction Distribution Errors) are computed and graphically displayed with the weighted residuals, 7) A trend (linear and piecewise cubic) is displayed in several plots: covariates, joint distribution of the random effects, weighted residuals, NPDE, 8) The estimation of the log-likelihood is graphically displayed with a 90% confidence interval as a function of the Monte-Carlo size, 9) It is possible to monitor and control the convergence of the algorithms "on line". Try the buttons "jump", "stop", "20 more" in the waiting bar when you run SAEM for estimating the population parameters... 10) A folder "my scripts" contains an example of MATLAB script. This m-file shows how to run the algorithms used in MONOLIX. We invite you to write your own MATLAB scripts and share them with the MONOLIX users, ___________________________________________________ We recall that the full MATLAB version of MONOLIX requires version 7.x of MATLAB. No toolbox are required. If you don't use MATLAB, you can download the MATLAB Component Runtime (version 7.5) from the MONOLIX website. This is not necessary if you have already downloaded it... If you use the MCR version 7.5, download Monolix_V23_C75.zip If you use the MCR version 7.6, download Monolix_V23_C76.zip ___________________________________________________ -- """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" Marc Lavielle Université Paris-Sud, Bat 425, Equipe de Probabilités, Statistique et Modélisation 91405 Orsay Cedex Tel: (33) 1 69 15 57 43 Fax: (33) 1 69 15 72 34 [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.math.u-psud.fr/~lavielle The MONOLIX project: http://www.monolix.org GDR "Statistique et Santé" : http://gdr.statsante.fr """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" France Mentré Professor of Biostatistics INSERM U738 - Université Paris 7 UF de Biostatistiques – CHU Bichat Claude Bernard - AP-HP UFR de Médecine - Site Bichat 16 rue Henri Huchard 75018 Paris, France tel: 33 (0) 1 44 85 62 71 sec: 33 (0) 1 44 85 62 80 fax: 33 (0) 1 44 85 62 83 email : [EMAIL PROTECTED] PFIM: www.pfim.biostat.fr MONOLIX: www.monolix.org npde: www.npde.biostat.fr
