NM6 : Modification in SIZES

I am working on the modelization of data of more than 1000 patients (8000) with NONMEM VI. I changed MAXIDS value in SIZES file and recompiled NONMEM from the CD. But it seems that modifications are not considered; I still have errors in the output file. 0TOT NO. OF INDIVIDUALS, 1001, IS GREATER THAN MAXIDS, 1000. INCREASE MAXIDS IN SIZES How should I recompile NONMEM ? Do you have any idea ? Thanks in advance for your answers and advice!
