H. Lundbeck A/S, an international pharmaceutical company within CNS, are looking for a pharmacodynamic modeller to be a part of a new formed Translational Medicine department. The position is located in Copenhagen, Denmark. Pharmacodynamic modeller - Department of Translational Medicine We are looking for a Ph.D. level scientist for a position in a newly established Department of Translational Medicine. This Department will support cross-functional activities within the disciplines of biomarker development and translational medicine to enlarge our knowledge of disease biology in the field of Central Nervous System. Your Job The focus of this position is to apply dynamic modelling and simulation methods for quantitative understanding of the pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmaco-dynamics (PD) of novel drug candidates and disease states. You are responsible for the building, understanding and control of PD models, applicable within the CNS area. You work in close partnership with other PK/PD scientists within other departments. Responsibilities will include planning, analysing and reporting and further on preparing the results for presentations internally as well as externally. You provide coaching and technical modelling expertise to other scientists in the company. Travel activities are part of the job. Your qualifications Our preferred candidate * holds a Ph.D. or equivalent knowledge level within medicine, physiology, pharmacometrics, pharmaceutical sciences or related disciplines with pharmaceutical industry and/or academic experiences from modelling/simulation of dynamic systems * has experience from work with physiological and/or disease models and written own specified models with software like S­PLUS, NONMEM, SAS, WinNonlin, ADAPT, MATLAB etc. * is strong in programming. * is interested in and has knowledge of both the mathematical and physiological aspects of modelling/simulation in drug development and understanding of statistical methods together with overall good knowledge in common PC software * is enthusiastic and has good personal communication skills (including a good sense of humour) * is able to collaborate across cultures * is fluent in written and oral English Further information Please contact Head of Department, Birgitte Søgaard on +45 3083 3389 or by e-mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] We also recommend you to visit our website www.lundbeck.com http://www.lundbeck.com/ .
