Literature on PK/PD modeling with two data points (baseline and end of study duration)

Ideally, I could collect a paper on theoretical research and one on case studies. Someone asked me to show literature that population PK/PD approach could be applied to this scenario and both interindividual and intraindividual variabilities are potentially identifiable (if you are the author, please be prepared to be questioned - not from me - no kidding).
