Hepatic Insufficiency

Subject: Hepatic Insufficiency
I would like to be able to establish some criteria to define a categorical variable for Hepatic
insufficiency solely on the basis of existing lab data (Bilirubin, Albumin, AST) for a study. All of the
accepted classification systems I know about involve an element of clinical assessment (Child-Pugh) or
specific biometrics (GSP method). I would be grateful if anyone can give me a reference or any insights
that would help to resolve this problem.
