NONMEM under DEC Alpha server

In order to share hardware ressouces and files, and increase our processing capacity with NONMEM, we plan to move from 3 PC Pentium/Windows 95/MS Fortran Powerstation to a network with DEC-ALPHA server under windows NT/Digital Fortran + 3 Workstations.
Did anybody tested this configuration? If yes, I would appreciate some help to solve the following questions :
What is the best hardware configuration ?
What is the best software (Fortran compiler) configuration ?
