I was wondering what others might consider an ideal platform to run on. My only real concern is throughput. For that reason, I am targetting my search towards compute servers like the SGI Power Challenge machines and Sun's Sparcservers. What experiences have you found with either of these environments? Are there any other platforms to consider? How about Cray's EL series supercomputer? Does the NONMEM research group have any recommendations for an ideal platform? I might consider machines that provide parallel processing capabilities if I had some assurance that NONMEM could be parallelized to some extent. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks in advance for any insights you may be able to provide.
